About the Speaker:
Tessa Dwyer is Lecturer in Film and Screen Studies at Monash University, Australia. Her publications include the monograph Speaking in Subtitles: Revaluing Screen Translation (Edinburgh UP, 2017) and the co-edited volumes TV Transformations and Transgressive Women (Peter Lang, 2022) and Seeing into Screens: Eye Tracking the Moving Image (Bloomsbury, 2018). She is a member of RMIT University's Streaming Industries and Genre Network (SIGN) and is currently conducting research into Smart TV accessibility features.
