Overview
Welcome to Seminar on Translation and the Media 2.0. This event is organized by the TICC Research Group at the Department of English at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in collaboration with the School of Languages, Literacies and Translation at Universiti Sains Malaysia. It aims to explore the vital role of translation in a current and borad sense in the dynamic realm of media in the era of artificial intelligence, where effective communication across languages and cultures is crucial. Following the 2019 edition, the seminar aims at addressing upcoming challenges and opportunities in the field. Through an expert panel of experienced scholars and industry leaders, we hope to explore the latest issues in media translation. The hybrid format in this year allows for more extensive participation. Discover the power of translation in shaping media narratives, fostering intercultural understanding, and bridging gaps in our interconnected world. Join us for the second edition of the hybrid seminar on Translation and the Media and be part of a dynamic community passionate about the intersection of translation and the media. Each speech takes approximately 40 minutes followed by 15 minutes of questions and answers.
